About YBIMC & YBXMi
YBIMC is one of the country’s premier and pioneering integrated marketing firms with almost two-decades of success in the media relations, creatives services, advertising and events industry. YBXMi is the newest iteration of YBIMC. As we gear towards our 20th anniversary, our award-winning, integrated agency continues to evolve. While we remain storytellers to our core, we believe that the stories told in person will grow in importance amidst an increasingly artificial world. We believe a modern marketing and communications strategy will rely more than ever on live human engagement through experiential marketing and immersive events. Even as we have adopted the latest technology and software, our mission is to expand the unbounded potential of brands and more keenly focus on the full life cycle of event strategy and tactical deployment.
About Your Role
We are looking for a dynamic and highly conceptual Senior Graphic Artist — Brand Experience to help shape how ideas become unforgettable real-world brand moments. In this role, you will transform strategy, story, and sometimes highly abstract creative thinking into compelling visual systems that live across pitch decks, branded physical environments, large-format applications, and digital extensions.
You are equal parts conceptual thinker, pitch storyteller, and production-minded executor. You thrive in fast-paced environments where ideas move quickly, details matter, and exceptional design is often the difference between a good concept and one that is sold-through.
This is a one-year contract position with the opportunity for extension based on performance and mutual fit. It is structured this way intentionally — to give the right experiential visionary a clear runway to deliver measurable impact, and to give both parties a defined point to evaluate the path forward.
Our Senior Graphic Artist - Brand Experience Will Be Charged With:
Concept Development
• Translate early-stage strategic thinking, cultural insights, and abstract creative directions into visual concepts.
• Partner closely with account, strategy, and production teams to develop branded environments, event identities, guest journey touchpoints, and digital content extensions.
• Bring fresh design references, cultural signals, and emerging creative trends into internal ideation to strengthen concept originality and relevance.
• Apply learnings from past activations, campaign performance, and audience behaviour to continuously elevate future creative output.
Proposal Development
• Build compelling visual narratives that help sell through ideas during the pitch and proposal process.
• Develop mood boards, render directions, spatial references, mock-ups, and deck-ready visuals that help clients immediately understand the power of an idea.
• Thrive in a fast-paced proposal environment where speed, adaptability, and strong design instincts directly contribute to business growth and new opportunities.
Vendor Management
• Work closely with fabricators, print partners, scenic teams, AV vendors, and specialty suppliers to ensure design intent is maintained through execution.
• Prepare clear, organized, production-ready artwork packages that support fabrication, installation, print, and digital display outputs.
• Review proofs, material samples, mock-ups, and vendor deliverables to ensure quality, consistency, and brand accuracy.
Production & Emerging Technologies
• Lead the design journey from concept through production, ensuring all assets are technically sound, scalable, and ready for real-world application.
• Bring strong knowledge of large-format print, digital displays, signage systems, scenic graphics, motion-ready artwork, and fabrication realities.
• Stay current on evolving tools, production techniques, and platform innovations across print, digital, immersive, and live-event environments.
What We Are Looking For
• 5-7+ years of graphic design experience within an agency or high-volume client-side environment in Toronto, with knowledge of the same in other major Canadian cities.
• Strong experience developing creative campaigns independently and collaboratively, from early concept through final delivery.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or equivalents with added strength in illustration, image post-production, layout, video editing and motion-ready file preparation.
• Proven ability to create compelling digital materials including social content, presentation design, standard ad units accounting for file specs, resolutions, aspect ratios, and export requirements.
• Experience designing for live events, experiential environments, and large-format production, with an understanding of scale, legibility, and fabrication realities accounting for file specs, resolutions, aspect ratios, and export requirements.
• Highly organized approach to file management, naming conventions, asset libraries, and folder structures.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining quality, speed, and deadline integrity in a fast-paced environment – you not only know the drill, you’ve lived it.
• Confident collaborating cross-functionally with account, strategy, production, social, and creative teams to support ambitious ideas.
• Proactive thinking, fresh references, and culturally relevant inspiration to creative development.
• Degree or diploma in Graphic Design.
• Command of typography, layout, hierarchy, and visual storytelling across digital, print, and environmental applications.
• Online portfolio showcasing campaign work, event design, branding, and multi-platform creative capabilities.
Please note that we are a full-time onsite agency – not a remote or hybrid operation. This job requires robust, non-business hours – as we host events in evenings, weekends and some Holidays.
